As the disruption of the pandemic and other pressures of the moment demanded pathbreaking responses, the Humanities Council launched a series of expedited innovation grants designed to connect and support humanities scholars across the borders of their disciplines.
In supporting the forward momentum of humanities research, the Council also affirmed its commitment to our partners at community and public institutions.
Through a special round of 2020-2021 “Rapid Response” Magic Grants offered to Princeton University faculty and research staff, and parallel grants for graduate and undergraduate students, the Council supported 39 researchers from 27 departments in carrying out new projects aimed at reimagining academic forms and communities in light of current conditions.
