Council’s Baldwin Circles Project Featured in ‘Inclusive Princeton’ Report

April 9, 2026

The Humanities Council’s Baldwin Circles project is featured in the University’s 2024-25 Inclusive Princeton Annual Report.  The report “spotlights how Princeton’s academic and co-curricular excellence is supported by creating an environment of opportunity and belonging for faculty, staff and students, where they can contribute to the University’s educational, research and service missions,” according to the story on Inside Princeton.

Baldwin Circles, a yearlong cross-disciplinary initiative, invited the Princeton campus community to encounter James Baldwin’s legacy in the intimate setting of a reading circle. More than 200 faculty, graduate students, staff, and postdoctoral researchers joined the innovative program to explore Baldwin’s works in honor of the author’s 100th birthday. The initiative also included public events with authors, artists, musicians, community leaders and others that connected the campus circles with the broader public.
