Six University humanities faculty have been awarded preceptorships, effective July 1, 2026.
Recognizing the career-changing potential that defines one’s formative experiences within the academy, Princeton supports promising junior faculty in the humanities and social sciences through competitively awarded preceptorships. Established following Princeton’s bicentennial in 1946 through University funds and by University donors, preceptorships offer additional research support to honorees.
Princeton offers a limited number of preceptorships in two categories: Bicentennial Preceptorships, which extend for three years with one full year of leave at full salary, and University Preceptorships, which extend for three years with one semester of leave at full salary. Both awards include an annual fund to assist with research expenses.
Humanities faculty awardees include:
- Liane Feldman, assistant professor of religion and Judaic studies, to be appointed to the Elias Boudinot Bicentennial Preceptorship
- Jesse Lundquist, assistant professor of classics, to be appointed to the Arthur H. Scribner Bicentennial Preceptorship
- Anna Wang, assistant professor of music, to be appointed to the Class of 1931 Bicentennial Preceptorship
- Arash Adel, assistant professor of architecture, to be appointed to the Samuel Davies University Preceptorship
- Monica Bravo, assistant professor of art and archaeology, to be appointed to the George H. and Milfred F. Whitfield University Preceptorship
- Yedidah Koren, assistant professor of religion, to be appointed to the Melancthon W. Jacobus University Preceptorship
