University Community Invited to 19th Annual Humanities Colloquium

The Humanities Council is pleased to present the “Timeliness,” the 19th Annual Humanities Colloquium on Thursday, September 11 at 4:30 pm in the Chancellor Green Rotunda. The event, which is open to the Princeton University community, will feature distinguished Princeton scholars whose work represents different approaches and historical periods,

What does it mean to be “timely” and to what extent should the humanities engage with notions of timeliness? Eduardo Cadava (English), Elena Fratto (Slavic Languages and Literatures), Eric Gregory (Religion), and Effie Rentzou (French and Italian) will explore interpretations of timeliness through diverse disciplinary perspectives. The conversation will be moderated by Council Acting Chair Christina Lee (Spanish and Portuguese).
