Michael Smith, McCosh Professor of Philosophy and chair of the Department of Philosophy, has been chosen to present the John Locke Lectures at the University of Oxford. Smith will give six weekly lectures on ‘A Standard of Judgement’ from April 26 through May 31.
The John Locke Lectures began in 1950 and are among the world’s most distinguished lecture series in philosophy. Many of the greatest philosophers of the last half century have been Locke Lecturers.
