Spencer A. Strub focuses on emotion, community, and belonging in late medieval English literature and culture. His current book project, The Fullness of the Heart: Speaking and Feeling in Late Medieval England, explores how ethics and aesthetics converged in medieval rules for speech. More generally, he is interested in emotion, interiority, personhood, and ideas about reading and understanding past and present.
