Jane Ferguson is an international correspondent for PBS NewsHour and a contributor to The New Yorker. A veteran war reporter, she has reported from the field in Ukraine, Turkey, Syria, Somalia, Iraq, Gaza, and Afghanistan. She previously worked as a freelance journalist in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia for Al Jazeera English and CNN International. Ferguson is the recipient of an Emmy Award, a Peabody Award and many other honors. She is also the author of a forthcoming memoir.
