Ilya Vinitsky’s main fields of expertise are Russian Romanticism and Realism, the history of emotions, nineteenth- century intellectual and spiritual history, translation theory, and the cultural interpretation of mystifications and forgeries (“physallidology,” from “soap bubble” in Greek).
