Robert Pogue Harrison launched his radio show Entitled Opinions on KZSU at Stanford University in September 2005 and has since gained a global following of committed listeners interested in literature, philosophy, and life. From science to art, technology to rock music, Harrison has probed the most pressing issues of our time with remarkable guests including Werner Herzog, Richard Rorty, René Girard, Peter Sloterdijk, Shirley Hazzard, Orhan Pamuk, Colm Tóibin, Marilynne Robinson, Paul Ehrlich, Michel Serres, Hayden White, and many others. During this celebration of the 20-year anniversary of the show, the host will share the history of Entitled Opinions, anecdotes about the most interesting guests and topics, and a few tales of what went on behind the scenes. The conversation will be moderated by a former producer of the show Christy Wampole (Princeton, Department of French and Italian).
