Program in Translation and Intercultural Communication

Interested in translating paranormal romance, gothic horror, or post-apocalyptic science fiction? In this workshop, PTIC translators look at how to polish a first-draft translation to bring out the mood, tone and atmosphere of the source. The workshop will also address how genre boundaries, definitions, and conventions vary in the literature of different languages, and the problems those differences pose for translators.
