The members of the Russian Romani (“Gypsy”) Zingaresca Ensemble will perform a concert (at 8:00 pm) on April 9th, highlighting their diverse repertoire and celebrated virtuosity. With Oleg Timofeyev and Vadim Kolpakov on the “Romani” seven-string guitar and Anton Belov, voice, they will perform Romani, Jewish, and other East European vocal and instrumental music. The concert will provide a unique opportunity for the Princeton community to experience the distinctive niche that Romani artists have long occupied and the musical traditions that they represent. The concert is free and open to the public.
