In conjunction with the workshop Classics in Queer Time, Shane Butler, the Nancy H. and Robert E. Hall Professor of the Humanities at Johns Hopkins University, will give a lecture on the temporality of classical reception, drawing from work on gay historiography while probing the historicist problems of both endeavors.
