Jeff Whetstone (Lewis Center for the Arts) will draw on film and photographs from his PEI-funded documentary about New Orleans and the Lower Mississippi River, “The Batture Ritual,” to discuss the tense balance between people and landscape — between the wild and the controlled — and depict a natural world from which humans are inextricable.
