Slavoj Zizek, Jela Krecic and Ben Saunders, English
October 9, 2019 · 5:00 pm—7:00 pm · Betts Auditorium

This event will feature three presentations on the way in which superhero films—such as Batman, The Avengers, Black Panther, X-Men, and Spiderman—serve as mirrors of our time and, in particular, of the anxieties that permeate society and culture in general.
Co-sponsored by the Humanities Council, Department of Comparative Literature, Program in Media and Modernity, Program in American Studies, Lewis Center for the Arts, and the Committee for Film Studies
