James Gabrillo joined Princeton to work on his postdoctoral ethnographic project on the soundscapes of Filipino migrant caregivers. His articles have been published in the journals Musical Quarterly, Journal of Popular Music Studies, and Rock Music Studies. His recent Ph.D. dissertation at the University of Cambridge examines issues of class and taste in contemporary Filipino pop music.
