Join the Program in Gender and Sexuality Studies as renowned journalist Raza Ahmed Rumi, Professor of Human Rights at Hunter College, joins GSS Professor Fawzia Afzal-Khan to discuss her NEH-sponsored award-winning short documentary film and her book on the same topic: “Siren Song: Understanding Pakistan Through Its Women Singers”.
The evening will feature a film screening and discussion, followed by a concert performed by Fawzia (vocals) Mike Lukshis on tablas, Rohan Prabhudesai on the harmonium, and Dr Nasir Naqvi on bass.
A light reception will follow the event.
