Seuls en Scène French Theater Festival Whitman College Class of 1970 Theater

This 7th edition of the French Theater Festival will feature renowned and emerging French writers, actors and directors in six productions of contemporary works recently presented on stages in France.

In “Portrait de Ludmilla en Nina Simone,” actress Ludmilla Dabo accompanied by playwright/guitarist David Lescot presents an intimate musical portrait of jazz singer Nina Simone, one of the formidable artistic figures of the civil rights movement referred to as the “High Priestess of Soul.”

Performed in French (with English subtitles). Free and open to the public but reserved tickets are recommended.
