Seuls en Scène French Theater Festival

This 7th edition of the French Theater Festival will feature renowned and emerging French writers, actors and directors in six productions of contemporary works recently presented on stages in France.

In “Harlem Quartet” James Baldwin’s poetic novel Just Above My Head is adapted in this critically acclaimed production from the 2017-18 French theatrical season to tell the story of a family in Harlem’s African-American community in the 1950s and 1960s against a background of gospel songs, the civil rights movement, violence and sex.

Performed in French (with English subtitles). Free and open to the public but reserved tickets are recommended.
