Ferris Seminars in Journalism

Hear stories about self-driving cars, space planes, social circuses, and private rail travel on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, when the students of JRN 450: Radio Documentaries will publicly present their final projects.

Taught by Ferris Professor of Journalism Joe Richman (NPR’s Radio Diaries), their course focused on audio storytelling and explored the sensibilities and skills needed for narratives to capture listeners’ imaginations. The students have done advanced writing, interviewing, sound-gathering, and multi-layered audio production to create broadcast-caliber radio documentaries.

Free and open to the public.
