The Department of Philosophy is pleased to present our inaugural Undergraduate Lecture by University of Pennsylvania Henry R. Silverman Professor of Law and Professor of Philosophy Anita Allen. In this talk, Professor Allen will explore award-winning artwork by African American analytic moral philosopher Adrian Piper to address vows, social contracts, and the place of women of color in academic philosophy.
