The first speaker for the 2020/2021 Musicology Colloquium Series is Guthrie Ramsey. He is a music historian, pianist, composer and a professor of music at University of Pennsylvania. A widely published author, he is the author of Race Music: Black Cultures from Bebop to Hip-Hop (2003).
