“Infrastructures of Finance and the Postindustrial City” / Our seemly abstract and immaterial financial economy is dependent on physical infrastructure. Their location within cities has shaped how policymakers and planners have responded to deindustrialization and the growing importance of finance to urban economies, playing a critical role in determining city budgets and the physical landscape of cities since 1960.
