Fri, 3/1 · 10:00 am11:00 am · Digital Learning Lab, 130 Lewis Science Library

McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning

Increasingly, instructors are embracing the flipped classroom as a way to encourage active learning. In a flipped classroom, students engage with course content outside of class (often via short, recorded lecture segments) and then complete higher-level, more challenging activities during class, often with their peers. In this “How to/Why to” session, we will discuss the pedagogy of flipped classrooms, look at some Princeton-specific examples, and share McGraw’s resources to support these active learning strategies.
