A lecture by Calvin Brown, Associate Curator of Prints and Drawings, in conjunction with the exhibition “Time Capsule, 1970: Rauschenberg’s Surface Series from Currents.” In 1970, at the height of the Vietnam War, the American artist Robert Rauschenberg exhibited “Current,” an ambitious printmaking project created from newspapers that chronicles the social and political upheavals of the period.
