Internationally renowned opera singer, countertenor Lawrence Zazzo, joins Early Music Princeton for a recital including arias from Francesco Cavalli’s Veremonda and Calisto; Choral and Instrumental works of Vittoria Aleotti, Claudio Monteverdi, Dario Castello, Biagio Marini, Girolamo Frescobaldi; and Vocal and Instrumental Music of Henry Purcell.

Free Pre-Concert Talk at 6:30PM, “Amazons and Opera in 17th Century Venice,” with Wendy Heller (Chair, Department of Music) and Lawrence Zazzo.

Lawrence Zazzo is a Short-Term Visiting Belknap Fellow in the Humanities Council and Department of Music in the Spring 2020 semester. He will also lead a public masterclass on April 16, 2:30-5PM.
