The Program in Judaic Studies and the Ronald O. Perelman Institute for Judaic Studies invite you to join us for the 2022 Jeannette Krieger and Herman D. Mytelka Memorial Lecture. This year’s public lecture will be given by Nomi Stolzenberg and David N. Myers titled “American Shtetl: The Making of Kiryas Joel, a Hasidic Village in Upstate New York” based on their recently-published book.

Prof. David N. Myers is the Sady and Ludwig Kahn Chair in Jewish History and Director of the Luskin Center for History and Policy at the University of California, Los Angeles. Prof. Nomi Stolzenberg is the Nathan and Lilly Shapell Chair in Law at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.
