The Humanities Council presents a special panel to discuss the University Pre-read This America: The Case for the Nation by Jill Lepore.
In selecting this year’s University Pre-read, President Eisgruber noted that it addresses “one of the most important ethical issues of our time: How can Americans, and the people of other nations, see themselves as united in a shared quest for the common good despite differences and disagreements that might pull them apart?” Please join an interdisciplinary conversation about the scholarly and political aspects of This America: The Case for the Nation by Harvard historian Jill Lepore. Princeton colleagues will offer brief remarks from a range of perspectives, followed by open discussion.
