Marika Sardar, a specialist in the arts of India and the Islamic world, will discuss the exquisitely painted manuscript illustrations on view in the special exhibition Epic Tales from India: Paintings from The San Diego Museum of Art, providing insights into the relationship between the images and the original texts that they accompanied.
