Debussy, Ravel, and The Jazz Age

A concert which presents the music of Debussy and Ravel alongside jazz music by Jelly Roll Morton, W.C. Handy, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller and Bill Evans. Performed by Sunghae Anna Lim and Rob Thomas, violin; Melissa Slocum, bass; Carlton Holmes and Francine Kay, piano. Program includes the Debussy and Ravel Sonatas for violin and piano.

This event is supported by a 2020-21 Rapid Response Grant from the Humanities Council and presented by the Department of French & Italian and the Music Department.
