A virtual conference and publication workshop for early career scholars.
The conference will offer one-on-one coaching sessions with editors from up to three leading presses, offering advice on participants’ book projects as well as workshops and panels on writing – and translating – for an era of global change.
Keynote speakers include Saidiya Hartman, MacArthur “Genius” Award Recipient , Acclaimed Social Critic and Author; Aleksandar Hemon, Professor of Creative Writing in the Lewis Center for the Arts, Journalist, Screenwriter and Award-Winning Author; Jhumpa Lahiri, Director of Princeton University’s Program in Creative Writing, Pulitzer Prize-Winning Author and Translator; Wendy Belcher, Professor of Comparative Literature and African American Studies and Author of “Writing Your Journal Article in Twelve Weeks”; William Germano, Professor and Author of “From Dissertation to Book”
