PLAS presents the two-day conference De Canciones y Cancioneros: Music and Literary Sources of the Luso-Hispanic Song Tradition, co-organized by Ireri Chávez-Bárcenas and Sophia Nuñez. This conference brings together musical, literary and cultural historians from the US, Latin America, and Europe that are interested in exploring various aspects of the early song tradition in the Luso-Hispanic World.

Co-sponsored by the Department of Music, Department of Spanish and Portuguese, University Center for Human Values, Humanities Council, Department of Comparative Literature, Center for the Study of Religion, IHUM, and Committee on Renaissance and Early Modern Studies.
