The International Organization of La Francophonie: its role and mission
A panel discussion with officials and Francophone diplomats

The French Program hosts the first event of its Spring festival “Celebrating Diversity in the Francophone World”, a panel discussion in collaboration with the International Organization of La Francophonie (Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie), which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2020.

The panel: “Le rôle de la Francophonie sur la scène internationale: regards croisés de l’OIF et d’Etats membres” will be conducted in French. Students will have a unique opportunity to discover the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), its role and mission and to exchange and interact with officials from OIF, as well as with diplomats from several francophone countries, who will talk about their careers, about the use of French in international negotiations, and about their collaboration with the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie.

This event is made possible thanks to the generous support of the 250th Anniversary Fund for Innovation in Undergraduate Education; Department of French and Italian; Canadian Studies; Humanities Council; Lewis Center for the Arts; Program for Community-Engaged Scholarship (ProCES); Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies.
