Humanities Council; Program in Gender and Sexuality Studies; Department of Sociology

In this special event, Rebekah Peeples, Deputy Dean of the College, will discuss her new book “Unchanged Trebles” in conversation with Brian Eugenio Herrera, associate professor of theater and gender and sexuality studies.

The book, published in October 2025 by Rutgers University Press, “charts an unexpected, thought-provoking, and deeply personal journey into the peculiar world of contemporary boy choirs, where boys learn to do something together that they’re often embarrassed to do alone: sing in their soprano voices.”

This event is open to the public. A reception will follow. Labyrinth Books will be on site for a pre and post-event book sale.

Co-sponsored by the Humanities Council, the Program in Gender and Sexuality Studies, the Department of Sociology, and the Lewis Center for the Arts.
