Tact: David Russell and Barry McCrea in Conversation

David Russell (Oxford) traces and discusses with his colleague Barry McCrea (Notre Dame), how the essay genre came to exemplify Tact, the sensuous new ethic and aesthetic genre that arose in 19th century Britain. McCrea is a Visiting Faber Fellow in the Humanities Council and Comparative Literature in Spring 2018.
