The Mellon Forum for Research on the Urban Environment welcomes historian Andrew W. Kahrl (University of Virginia) and architect Guy Nordensen (Guy Nordenson and Associates/Princeton School of Architecture) for a discussion on coastal resilience.
Andrew W. Kahrl is assistant professor of history and African-American studies at the University of Virginia and the author of, “The Land Was Ours: African-American Beaches from Jim Crow to the Sunbelt South.”
Guy Nordenson is a structural engineer and Professor of Architecture and Structural Engineering at Princeton University. He is Principal of Guy Nordenson and Associates, New York.
