The Humanities Council is pleased to present “Humanities and/as Choice,” the 16th Annual Humanities Colloquium, on Thursday, September 8 at 4:30 p.m. in the Chancellor Green Rotunda. The event, which is open to the Princeton University community, will feature a wide-ranging conversation about central issues in research, teaching, and intellectual life.
This year’s speakers include distinguished Princeton scholars whose work represents different historical periods and approaches. Catherine Clune-Taylor (Gender and Sexuality Studies), William Chester Jordan (History), Rob Nixon (English, High Meadows Environmental Institute), and Stephen F. Teiser (Religion) will examine the theme of “Humanities and/as Choice” as it pertains to their own scholarship and research. The conversation will be moderated by Acting Council Chair Tera Hunter (History, African American Studies).
