The Humanities Council is now accepting proposals for 2022 Flash Grants, designed to support first-time, innovative projects with the potential to transform scholarly communities or expand their reach. These mini-grants range from $500 – $5,000.
The awards, supported by the David A. Gardner ’69 Magic Grant, are intended to support Princeton humanities researchers as they reshape or renew communities on campus, or as they develop channels for engaging new audiences or collaborators. We encourage proposals that draw upon lessons learned during the pandemic or include new ways of connecting with Central New Jersey partner organizations.
A wide range of Princeton University humanities researchers, including faculty, lecturers, postdoctoral fellows, research scholars, professional specialists, and administrators, may apply. Joint proposals are welcome, as is collaboration within and outside of the University. Proposed projects should begin in Spring/Summer 2022 and finish before January 2023.
Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to apply for a similar opportunity.
The deadline to submit proposals is Thursday, March 31, 2022. Proposals will be considered as they arrive, with awards granted on a rolling basis.
