The Department of Philosophy is pleased to present the biennial “David Lewis Lecture” in honor of the late David K. Lewis, who has been called one of the most important philosophers of the 20th century and was a treasured member of the Department of Philosophy faculty from 1970 until his sudden death in 2001.

This year’s lecture will be presented by Robert Merrihew Adams, the Clark Professor of Metaphysics and Moral Philosophy, Emeritus, Yale University and a visiting fellow of the Department of Philosophy.
