On September 29, 2020, the Humanities Council will partner with Keller Center to showcase humanities and social science innovation at the annual Innovation Forum. This is the first time since its inception in 2005 that the Forum will feature innovative research being conducted by Princeton’s humanities and social science community.
The inaugural participants are Brooke Holmes and Dan-el Padilla Peralta (Classics), Laurence Ralph (Anthropology), Effie Rentzou (French and Italian), and computer scientists Preeti Iyer and Kyle Barnes. They will present on innovations with potential cultural and societal applications and discuss how they may manifest outside of campus gates.
Whilst these innovations do not go through the route of patents, license agreements as with STEM research, they may impact entirely different and exciting sectors of activity. Each of the participants will present a short pitch followed by Q&A from a feedback panel. Audience members will have the opportunity to interact with the presenters through on-screen demo stations.
A joint initiative of the Keller Center and the Humanities Council, with support from the Office of Technology Licensing, the 2020 Innovation Forum will be a live online event.
