Fred Moten, poet, scholar, and Professor of Performance Studies at New York University will deliver the Spring 2019 Gauss Seminars in Criticism. Moten’s two-day visit to Princeton University will comprise a public lecture on Wednesday, February 27 and a faculty seminar on Thursday, February 28. The seminars will be delivered under the general title “Poetics of Violence.”
Moten’s talks will be the second of the Gauss Seminars offered this academic year. In October, 2018, Wendy Brown, Professor of Political Science at UC Berkeley, delivered a compelling talk titled “Neoliberalism’s Frankenstein.”
