“If Everybody Knew,” a podcast from the Humanities Council, is listed as one of five Princeton podcasts to accompany your summer travels in a story on the University homepage.
The story highlights the podcast’s debut episode “…about the black musical that disappeared forever, twice.” Host and producer Dexter Thomas, ACLS Emerging Voices Fellow and postdoctoral research associate in the Humanities Council, speaks to author Caseen Gaines, actor Amber Iman, and Princeton lecturer Catherine Young about Shuffle Along, the first successful all-Black Broadway musical, and its lasting impact on artists and scholars.
