Professors of Journalism - Roster 1964-2013

John McPhee, Pulitzer Prize-winning New Yorker writer and author of more than 30 books, has been Ferris Professor since 1974, teaching two semesters every three years.

Evan Thomas, former Newsweek editor and Washington Bureau Chief, has written eight books and over 100 cover stories. He is completing his term as inaugural Ferris Professor in Residence in June 2014.
