Andrea Elliott is an award-winning journalist and writer who has extensively documented the lives of poor Americans, Muslim immigrants and other people on the margins of power. An investigative reporter for The New York Times, she is the author of “Invisible Child: Poverty, Survival and Hope in an American City,” which recently won the Pulitzer Prize in General Nonfiction. Elliott is the first woman in history to win individual Pulitzers in both Letters (2022) and Journalism (2007).
