DESCRIPTION:The Department of French and Italian presents “Over the Mediterranean Sea and The Pacific: writing about colonialism and diasporas” on Monday\, March 16\, from 4.30pm until 6.00pm\, featuring Belknap Long-Term Visiting Fellow in the Humanities Council and Department of French and Italian (Spring 2026) : Alice Zeniter\, novelist\, playwright\, scriptwriter\, and director\, in conversation with André Benhaïm\, professor of French and Italian\, Princeton University. \nIn this conversation with André Benhaïm\, Alice Zeniter will discuss her last novel\, “Frapper l’épopée” set in New-Caledonia (a French territory in the Pacific with a peculiar Algerian diaspora)\, and the power of fiction against silencing.
