DESCRIPTION:The panel discussion “Presenting the Science” will bring together climate experts to engage the public in understanding what scientists project for the future shoreline of New Jersey\, the impact of sea-level rise on the state\, and the areas that will be most affected. \nRegister to attend this event in person (PUID holders only) or via Zoom livestream (open to all). Face coverings are REQUIRED for in-person attendance. Panel speakers are listed below. \nBenjamin Strauss\, CEO and Chief Scientist\, Climate Central\nRobert Kopp\, Professor of Earth and Planetary Sciences and Co-director of the University Office of Climate Action\, Rutgers University\nLisa Auermuller\, Assistant Manager\, Rutgers University/Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve \n“Presenting the Science” is the first of three panels organized as part of High Water Line: New Jersey\, a public-facing project organized by Christina Gerhardt\, the 2021-22 Barron Visiting Professor in the Environmental Humanities in the High Meadows Environmental Institute\, that will walk and chalk New Jersey’s future shoreline as projected by science.
