DESCRIPTION:People of all ages and backgrounds share what it means to be black in France today… \nAs part of the fourth edition of the Princeton French Film Festival\, you are invited to the screening of Blacks in France (2022)\, followed by a Q&A with Distinguished Professor and writer Alain Mabanckou. \nLogistics: In French with English subtitles. Open to everyone upon registration. \nSynopsis: What do Black people in France have in common? Not much—aside from the color of their skin and the racism they face. For the first time\, the film Blacks in France gives voice to Black French people of all ages and backgrounds\, whether well known or unknown to the general public. This documentary traces their stories—shaped by prejudice and stereotypes\, yet also marked by hope and pride. These Black people in France are building a history that is constantly evolving.
