DESCRIPTION:As part of the of opening night of the Princeton French Film Festival\, you’re invited to the exclusive US Premiere screening of “Monsieur Aznavour”\, a touching biopic on the legend singer Charles Aznavour (1924-2018)\, whose 100th anniversary we will celebrate through cinema and music. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with American-Armenian journalist and playwright Taleen Babayan. \nPractical information:\nOpen to everyone upon registration. In French with English subtitles\, the screening will start at 7:00 PM on Friday\, March 28th\, 2025\, and will last approximately 130 minutes. Followed by a 20-minute conversation with Taleen Babayan and a reception with snacks and drinks. Doors open at 6:45 PM. \nSynopsis:\nIn celebration of the centenary of (probably) the greatest singer and composer of all time\, this unique biopic tells the story of a legendary figure whose songs (including La Bohème) marked several generations across the world. From his poor childhood and formative years with Edith Piaf in Paris to his rise to international fame\, from his triumphs to his failures\, from Paris to New York\, discover the exceptional journey of an artist (played by Tahar Rahim).
