SUMMARY:Critique and Creation: A Symposium on Art & Inquiry
DESCRIPTION:This symposium on art and inquiry convenes a group of twelve artists\, theorists\, and “hybrid practitioners” to reflect on the current state of artistic research in the US and elsewhere\, and to investigate the ways that artist-researchers and researcher-artists are navigating the shifting spaces of knowledge production (and the adjacent domains of creative expression). The symposium is open by advance registration. \nOrganized by D. Graham Burnett & Julian Chehirian. This gathering is generously hosted by the American Academy of Arts and Letters\, and is made possible with the support of the Program in Visual Arts\, the Humanities Council\, the Center for Collaborative History\, the Interdisciplinary Humanities Doctoral Program (IHUM)\, and GradFUTURES at Princeton University.
