The University homepage and the Princeton Alumni Weekly have highlighted broader Princeton efforts to support at-risk scholars from Ukraine and Russia, and provide them with safety, stability, and an academic home amidst the war and persecution resulting from the invasion.

Fourteen visiting scholars are being hosted and supported by academic units and departments across campus. The Humanities Council is supporting Iuliia Skubytska, a Ukrainian historian in the Program in Judaic Studies, and Tamara Hundorova, a Ukrainian literary critic and writer in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures.

In addition to Skubytska and Hundorova, the Council also welcomed Abdul Wahid Wafa, longtime journalist from Afghanistan, who joined the University last fall as a professional specialist after he and his family were evacuated from their home in Kabul amid the Taliban takeover.

Read more about these efforts on the University homepage and in the Princeton Alumni Weekly.
