The Humanities Council, in collaboration with the Princeton Humanities Initiative, presents the 20th annual Humanities Colloquium on Thursday, September 11 at 4:30 pm in the Princeton University Art Museum Grand Hall. Open to the Princeton University community, the event features distinguished Princeton scholars who will explore the theme, “Communities in the Making.”
This year’s panelists, Devin Fore (German), Katja Guenther (History), Brooke Holmes (Classics), and Beth Lew-Williams (History), will discuss how communities of thought and experience are made and undone, the conditions that shape their survival or disappearance over time, and how exclusion and othering become corrolaries to belonging. The conversation will be moderated by Council Chair Esther Schor (English).
